Combining my love of retro games with my curiosity about design I'd set out to remake a number of bad video games into good ones.
This helped me find the fun where it was lacking, but also to understand why the developers had made the decisions they did.
The only way to truly determine the value of an idea is to test it.
With a strong code background I spend much of my time testing ideas to find which are worth pursuing and which need more work.
